Silicone rubber insulated wires and cables are a type of special cables using silicone rubber as the insulation or sheath material. With excellent high and low temperature resistance, flexibility and electrical insulation performance, they are suitable for special scenarios requiring high temperature resistance, low temperature resistance, high flexibility and high insulation, and are widely used in aerospace, household appliances, industrial heating, medical equipment and other fields. 

 

Core Performance Characteristics

1. Excellent High and Low Temperature Resistance
The long-term operating temperature range is -60℃~200℃, and it can withstand short-term high-temperature impact of 250℃, far exceeding conventional cable materials such as PVC and XLPE. It will not become brittle in low-temperature and severe cold environments, and can also operate stably in scenarios such as high-temperature baking equipment and equipment engine compartments.

2. Superior Flexibility and Fatigue Resistance
Silicone rubber itself has excellent elasticity, maintaining good softness even in low-temperature environments, with outstanding resistance to repeated bending and torsion. It is suitable for scenarios requiring frequent movement such as robot joints, medical equipment and internal wiring of household appliances, and its bending service life is much longer than that of traditional cables.

3. Outstanding Electrical Insulation Performance
It features high insulation resistance and low dielectric loss. Its electrical performance is minimally affected by changes in temperature and frequency, making it applicable to power supply and signal connection of high-voltage test equipment, high-frequency signal transmission lines and precision instruments.

4. Good Weather Resistance and Chemical Stability
It has strong UV and ozone aging resistance, requiring no additional protection for outdoor laying. It can resist weak acids, weak alkalis and some organic solvents, but is not resistant to strong acids, strong alkalis, oils and aromatic solvents, so it should be kept away from oily and highly corrosive environments.

5. Safety and Environmental Protection Features
The material is non-toxic and tasteless, complying with environmental standards such as RoHS and REACH. It does not produce toxic and harmful gases when burned, and has good flame retardancy, with the flame retardant grade reaching UL94 V-0.

 

Key Selection Points
1. Select Material Based on Temperature Requirements: Choose ordinary silicone rubber (resistant to 200℃) for conventional high-temperature scenarios; choose fluorosilicone rubber (FVMQ) material for applications requiring short-term tolerance to temperatures above 250℃.

2. Select Structure Based on Movement Frequency: For high-frequency bending scenarios (such as robot joints), prioritize the structure of multi-strand ultra-fine stranded conductors + silicone rubber insulation + sheath to improve fatigue resistance.

3. Select Protective Structure Based on Environment: For humid and dusty environments, choose models with braided shielding layers; for strong electromagnetic interference scenarios, match copper mesh shielding or aluminum-plastic composite tape shielding.

4. Pay Attention to Certification Compliance: Export products need to meet international standards such as UL 758 and IEC 60811; cables for medical equipment must comply with the biocompatibility requirements of ISO 10993.
