Product Parameters

PVC Wires: Thermoplastic insulated, featuring low cost and easy processability, with a long-term operating temperature ≤ 70℃. They are suitable for low-voltage, indoor, general home decoration and light industrial applications.

 

XLPVC (XLPE) Wires: Cross-linked to form a three-dimensional network structure, with a long-term operating temperature ≤ 90℃. They have superior current-carrying capacity, service life and electrical performance, making them ideal for medium and high-voltage, high-temperature, heavy-duty industrial, outdoor and underground scenarios.

 

Materials and Structure

  • PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride): Linear thermoplastic containing chlorine, which releases HCl and dense smoke when burned, with a density of approximately 1.35-1.5g/cm³. It is extruded by a single-screw extruder, featuring simple process and low cost.
  • XLPVC/XLPE (Cross-Linked Polyethylene): Polyethylene is cross-linked into a three-dimensional network via chemical or irradiation methods, halogen-free with environmentally friendly combustion products, and a density of about 0.92-0.95g/cm³, which is roughly 30% lighter than PVC of the same specification. Special cross-linking equipment is required, resulting in higher cost but longer service life.

 

Selection Recommendations
1. Cost Priority: Choose PVC for short-term, low-voltage and general environments.
2. Performance Priority: Choose XLPE for long-term, high-voltage, high-temperature, heavy-duty and harsh environments.
3. Environmental Protection & Safety: Prioritize XLPE (low-smoke and halogen-free), especially in public and densely populated areas.
4. Installation & Transportation: XLPE is lighter, reducing laying and transportation costs.
